The Coach

Paul Bagby is a native of Dalton, GA. Due to the many lakes in the Tennessee and North Georgia area, Paul developed a love of fishing from a very early age. Although he most enjoyed bass fishing, other types of fishing were not ignored. Now that Paul has retired from his 30 year career in education, he makes his home in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.  Coach always found time to make the trip from North Georgia to the Gulf coast to enjoy some saltwater fishing. It was there that he developed a keen knowledge of the finer aspects of a professional level saltwater rod.  Now that he lives right on the coast in Florida most of his attention has turned towards saltwater rods. He still makes many freshwater rods as well.

Because of his vast experience in fishing and rod building, Paul is able to understand your needs regardless of the type of fishing you enjoy. Currently he build rods for lake, flats, surf, and  deep sea purposes. Novices as well as fishing professionals are coming to the Coach for custom rods. Just recently, an IFGA line class record was set with a Coach's Custom Rod.
